From 21 November 2025 to 6 January 2026, Modena hosts the first edition of the Modena Christmas Village, a Tyrolean-style Christmas village set in the city’s most iconic squares: Piazza Grande, Piazza Torre and Piazza XX Settembre. Wooden chalets, warm lights, the aroma of mulled wine and alpine dishes such as raclette, roasted pork shank, canederli and traditional mountain specialties fill the streets.
• Christmas markets with artisan crafts, decorations, wooden ornaments, candles and handmade gift ideas.
• Alpine gastronomy corners offering mulled wine, hot sweets and winter comfort food.
• Evening entertainment with music, Christmas choirs, traditional zampognari, street performers, parades and a spectacular videomapping show projected onto the buildings of Piazza Grande.
• A dedicated “Santa’s Village” for children in Piazza XX Settembre, with themed carousel, Santa’s sleigh, his throne, a special mailbox for letters, creative workshops and family-friendly activities.
